Italian Energy Group Eni Targets Year-End for Biofuel Unit Stake Sale
ROME - Italian energy conglomerate Eni has set its sights on wrapping up the sale of a minority share in its biofuel subsidiary, Enilive, by the close of 2024. Chief Executive Claudio De Scalzi shared this ambitious timeline during a conference hosted by Il Giornale in Milan on Monday.
Addressing the progression of the sale, De Scalzi remarked, "The planning for the sale is underway, though there are still certain issues under discussion. Our aim is to finalize everything by the end of this year. Discussions have indeed gained momentum."
Earlier in April, reports had surfaced that the sale, potentially valued at 1.3 billion euros, was anticipated to be finalized by year-end. This strategic move aligns with Eni's broader objective to streamline operations and focus on its core energy ventures.
