Student Arrested for High-Tech Cheating in Turkish University Entrance Exam
In a recent incident in Istanbul, Turkish authorities apprehended a student for employing an innovative, albeit illegal, method to cheat during a university entrance exam. Utilizing a makeshift device connected to advanced artificial intelligence (AI) software, the student managed to answer exam questions with precision. The suspicious behavior of the individual during the exam weekend led to an immediate police intervention and subsequent formal arrest. The student now faces jail time pending trial.
Additionally, another individual who was assisting the student was also detained. According to a video released by law enforcement in the southwestern province of Isparta, the student executed the scheme using a camera cleverly disguised as a shirt button. This camera was linked to AI software through a router ingeniously hidden within the sole of the student's shoe.
The police demonstration in the video illustrates the functionality of this clandestine system: a police officer scans a question, and the AI software swiftly generates the correct answer, which is then transmitted through an earpiece to the student. This elaborate setup showcases the increasingly sophisticated methods being used to circumvent academic integrity protocols.
